Join us for a creative and hands-on 5-day Wire Wrapping Bootcamp for Teens, where students will explore the versatility of wire while making a collection of unique jewellery pieces. This course is designed for ages 12 and up and is open to all skill levels.
Throughout the week, students will learn a range of wire techniques while working on multiple projects at their own pace. Some may choose to focus on one piece at a time, while others may move between projects as they build confidence and skill.
Projects include:
- A wire-wrapped pendant with a stone
- Viking knit (woven wire chain)
- Wire-wrapped earrings or a ring
- A Tree of Life pendant or a suncatcher
Skills covered:
- Basic wire handling and tool use
- Creating secure and decorative wraps
- Building structure and symmetry in designs
- Weaving techniques such as Viking knit
- Designing and finishing wearable pieces
By the end of the week, students will head home with a collection of pieces they actually want to wear (or gift!) and a solid set of new skills. Expect a fun, relaxed studio atmosphere, a bit of problem-solving, and plenty of room to experiment—no pressure, just making cool things and seeing what wire can do.
