Join guest instructor Cheryl Jacobs for an exciting two-day workshop where you'll explore the fascinating process of mold making and casting!
Over the course of two 6-hour sessions, you’ll learn how to create a reusable mold from an existing jewelry piece and use it to produce wax models for casting. This workshop is perfect for those looking to replicate designs and expand their jewelry-making skills!
What You’ll Learn:
- Rubber Mold Making: Use a vulcanizer to create a professional-quality mold from an existing jewelry piece.
- Wax Injection: Learn how to inject wax into your mold to create multiple duplicates of your design.
- Casting in Metal: Experience the exciting moment of casting your wax model into silver.
- Finishing Techniques: Clean, file, and polish your piece
If time allows, there may also be an opportunity to explore some wax carving techniques.
No prior experience is required—this is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge in a supportive and creative environment!
