Expand your silversmithing skill set with this jam-packed 6-week technical stone-setting course. You will be covering some new skills to be able to take your jewellery designs to a whole new level!
Over the first four weeks of the course, instructor Taryn O'Gorman (Taryn O'Gorman Designs), will walk you through how to make a basic bezel settings for round and square cabochons on copper. As well as how to set specialty-shaped stones and tube setting for a faceted round stone. The final two classes will be for students to use these new skills to make a final project of their own design.
This class is designed for students who would like to practice ways to use gemstones to elevate their work (without getting too fancy!)
*Copper is provided for this course, but if you would like to work with Silver, we have it available for purchase (photos below show silver samples).
