Introducing our newest three-day workshop! Join us for a fun and info-filled course with instructor, Taryn O'Gorman, where you'll create a beautiful 2-layer cooper or brass pierce-work pendant. You will learn how to sweat soldering and adding a stone.
We have silver available for purchase if preferred to metals included in the course.
Pierce-work is the art of intricate saw cutting from a sheet of metal and can be stunning on its own or layered for contrast. In this workshop, you'll learn to saw, file, solder, tube setting a cubic zirconia, oxidize and polish. And you'll leave with something handcrafted by you! Choose from a collection of pre-designed rectangle or round templates or come with your own pierce-work design for the top layer of your pendant.
Requirements:
Level 1, Intro to silversmithing or previews silversmithing experience is necessary.
